I have a nice Kimber stainless II, But I have no holster or mag pouches for it. I am thinking about getting holster that rides down on your thigh, any comments about this. If you know of good holster and mag pouch let me know. I used to have a Fobus for my Glock22 but there was a snap or something and it used to leave a mark on my Glock, I dont want that to happen on my Kimber. What about uncle mikes?

:usa: For a good reliable holster, I'd just go with a kydex belt holster or maybe a cross draw would be more to your taste but unless your thinking of starting your own swat team or counter terrorist group, a bit less dramatic would the thing to go with.

Of course those thigh holsters do look cool at the range.

Hey, what do I know.

My personal choice for open carry is a kydex belt holster and dual mag pouch and for concealed carry I go with a good quality brand name iwb holster and the kydex dual mag pouch is still fine.

Further, I don't own any show pieces. All of my tools of self defense are capable of use and abuse. What I mean is that holster wear is the least of my worries when choosing a holster. If I didn't want my gun to get worn I would put it in a shadow box and hang it on the wall with a brass plaque bearing the legend; "Useless"!

I use Galco products for anything I carry in the line of handguns. They make about every style for every pistol.

I use an Amadini drop holster for my HK USP40. I purchased it from a local gunshop and checked out their website but it's all in Italian! http://www.amadini.it/index_set.htm Maybe you could find more information on them from other places though.
