I have owned a eary 70s FRankford arsenal xm177 for years. Its been fired once before and in great shape with the original box and mags. Im just curious what this thing is worth these days? I dont have a whole lot of histiry on this rifle but I thing olympic bought Frankford out so it bears an Olypic stamp too. Any one have any info for me?
The XM177-E2 came into existance around 1967. Does yours have forward-assist? E1 had a 10-inch barrel and the E2 had an 11.5-inch. Yours?

Thanks for the reply. I measured the barrel from the base of the handguard where it meets the reciever to where the barrel meets the oversized flash suppresor. I hope that is how its done. It measured 10.5 inches. It does have the forward assist. However I do believe it has E2 sights but I might be mistaken. I do know it has a tritium night sight in the front.
I was wondering about the assist, the Air Force models didn't have one. Are there any markings on the barrel?

Does your XM 177E2 have the old Ft. Lauderdale address on it?
Would like to know it if you don't mind. I owned one back in the early 80's.
Thx.
