Smithing the 1991A1

Where could I get a good reference on complete disassembly of the 1991A1? Anyone had any evperience installing aftermarket triggers or drop in barrel/bushing assemblies?

Gun Digest Book of Firearms Assembly/Disassembly by JB Wood covers the complete take down of all the 1911 type guns. Gun mags usually have ads for the book. My experience with drop in aftermarket parts for the 1911 is that they do not drop in. They require fitting and unless you are an amateur gunsmith with the right tools you wind up taking them to a gunsmith like I do. I think it is better to have a good gunsmith install parts for safety concerns.
