View Full Version : flash hider?
I have an M1 Garand rifle. I also have one of the prong type flash hiders for said rifle that attaches via the gas plug. Is it illegal to attach the flash hider to the rifle? In an Enbloc clip considered a detachable magazine in the eyes of the Govt? The rifle already has the the bayonet lug an evil feature i know, if I were to add the flash hider would I be building an asault weapon?

I doubt it. Clips are used to load magazines, by defination. The enblock clip is instered into the fixed magazine. Hence 94 BS bill doesn't apply.
It's even legal in California. ;)

Take that flash hider off the rifle!
You can not mount the regular bayonet with the flash hider installed :)

The Garand is nor an " assault weapon " . It does not have a detachable mag or pistol grip .
You can have the FS & bayo . Wheather the bayo will fit with the FS installed , I do not know ?
