I have a #1 in .25-06 that I want to use for 150-200 lb. whitetail at 200 yards and less. I am under the impression that Barnes X bullets are some of the best out there for hunting. Is this true?

I don't even have brass yet, haven't decided on a powder, nor primers. I do have the dies at least :P I've got to hurry, I've only got about seven weeks before opening day to work up a load

Anybody here load for the .25-06? Any pet hunting loads?

Thanks in advance.

...After doing a little research, I think the Barnes X is too much bullet for deer sized game. I may go with GameKings.

Balistic tip ammo is fast becoming one of the best terminal projectiles for deersized game.
