I inherited a Browning Light Twelve 12 guage shotgun that I believe may have been made in Belgium. It has a # on the underside of it: # 356095. Does anyone know how much this gun may be worth and could it be considered a good home defense shotgun?
Thanks

If that is the correct serial # it was a first year production of the 'light 12' in 1952. This would make your A5 a FN made Belgium gun for sure. Blue book showing 95% @ 325, 400 if with vent rib.

In my opinion a short (18.5-20 inch) bbl gun makes for a much more manueverable home defense gun. ANY shotgun can be a good personal/home defense gun if used correctly. Remember that one 2.75 inch 00Buck equals 9, 32 cal pellets per shot.
