Thats where were lucky as long as their kept clean and Lubricated or even under inclement conditions they all keep going.But I wouldnt recommend anything to someone I dont use myself so I would try to stick to Romanian,Hungarian,or German.The Chinese mags work well,I just prefer something from the Eastern Block. It will be very rare to find a bad AK magazine, if you stay with the ones who make it, I prefer (in metal) Bulgarian 30-40 round ribbed magazines with the milled top. Just stay away from clones.

If you can get ahold of some of the bulgarian waffle mags these rock!!!! Made out of plastic and are light weight and do not rust.
Fits the SAR-1 really nicely and they look great to. I bought one from Patriot Arms and I'm very pleased with it. Here's the address
