Muzzle guide

I have never used one before. Is this supposed to fit over the flash supperssor or not? I ordered the dewey muzzle guide and it does not fit over the flash suppresor. I own a CA legal "loaded. Any info would help. Also do most of you use jags or loops to run patches?

Yes, made the same mistake myself!
That california muzzle brake is slightly larger in diameter than the standard flash hider, so the Dewey guide don't work.
Brownells sells another muzzel guide that's aluminum and fits inside the muzzle break and that will work fine.
