My Mosin carbine has the numbers 1891/59 on it. Does that mean, designed in 1891 and produced in '59? How can I tell where it was made?
It is a great little rifle, very hard hitting. Floorplate number matches too which I guess is kind of rare. Not bad for $120!
I can't wait to take it hunting this fall. It should be a fun challenge, old carbine, iron sights.
