Smith&Wesson model 28

I have a S&W model 28 Highway Patrolman,its engraved with NYSP I assume it stands for New York State Police. The gun looks brand new so if it wasever issued,which some were not.It was well taken care of. Took it out to te Range,it was truly a sweet shooter.

N Frame Smiths are always nice. The Mod 28 was virtually the same as the Mod 27 but, without the bells and whistles (finish and options). It was made as a 'service/duty' gun so it could very well have been a NYSP gun.

Smith & Wesson N-frame revolver's are nice, and the M-28
is no exception. While the M-27 is more finely finished; the
M-28 is an excellent duty weapon, for those of us who like
to tote revolver's.
