Does anyone know anything about the GP Maes Shooting Coat? How is the quality of the 12 oz. Bull Denim coat? I saw that this coat costs less than $60. I did not want to pay alot for a coat at this time and was wondering if this coat would be OK for shooting the Garand and Springfield matches.

Thank you.

I've heard a lot of good things about these coats as great for a starter, and then if you stay in the sport, you can get a fancy one once you've gotten everything out of your shooting and need something better.

They make good stuff.

In fact (if my failing memory serves me), I believe they are the current makers of coats worn by the USMC and the Army Marksmanship Units.

I would imagine that even their lower priced coats would be well made and should perform well in the type shooting you describe.
