IN THEORY:
I've been playing with a design that has a full auto .22LR for suppressive fire and then fires semiauto in say .308. The .22LR won't cause much recoil, and the only problem I've had with the design concept is triggering the full auto. The weight of the double alone is enough to keep .22LR recoil to a minimum.
I don't know how legal it is though. Well it's really only illegal if you get caught.

That's another thing I've wondered about, if you have a large property, can you fire pretty much anything you want as long as you don't disturb anyone? It would seem that no one would care or even know if your property was large enough. Does the Government care? Do I? If you're off the grid and you have no utilities, and you don't harm anyone else, isn't it unconstitutional to disallow it. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happyness, so if you don't endanger anyone else's life, then you have the liberty to pursue happyness, and if shooting fully automatic weapons does that, then the hell with what anyone else says. All above FOR ACEDEMIC PURPOSES ONLY

Full auto comes with all sorts of laws that the BATF will want to enforce. We have a few members here who do full auto legally, and they can give you some tips.

That being said, a public forum like this is a terrible place to hint that you might just "go ahead and do it anyway" on private property. If you are gonna do it, just do it, don't brag about it where law enforcement can read about it.

I for one keep 100% legal due to my desire to stay in close contact with my wife and daughters througout my lifetime (grin).

I know you said the above "just in theory"... my 2 cents apply to anyone who may be thinking of doing this for real.

I have no intention of building the firearm, I'm 17 and I jsut like playing with CAD programs.

The second half of that question was definitely in theory. What exactly are the laws about private propery? I'm not at all against teh government, but registering everything, and all that seems too much like Facism, didn't the Nazis do something like that, with the registrations. I always thought it's hilarious that they would meticulously document the whole thing and then deny that the holocost ever happened.

How exactly does one obtain a Class III liscense? Is it a federal thing? Why are silencers illegal? Is certain ammo illegal?

I don't want to break the law, I just want to know about it so that I'm not ignorant of it.

Firearms laws, invariably, extend to your private property.
