All wheelguns, all the time. Single action, double action, competition, sport, or defense. Self-defense with a revolver? You bet!
You all know the rules. Now bring it on!

Greetings Sir Saxon
I probably won't weigh in much on your topic as the only wheelguns I have are my SRH 44mag and the wifes Rossi 720 44spl

I use both. Got a Browning HP but I like to shoot my S&W Mod 19 more. Spice of life, variety.

Hey!
I was wondering how long it would take for you to become a moderator somewhere! Congratulations!
:samurai: Aren't these doo-dads great?
Lets kick the tires and light the fires!
Just picked up a S&W 629 Classic with a 5" barrel
Magnum 44 of course.
What I reeeealy wanted to get was a model 625 Mountain Gun in 45 Colt but its not for sale in Califonia because of the stupid safety testing law:mad:
Yeah, all we can buy now are the really popular guns.
So yeah, some wheel guns are effectively BANNED in this stoopid state.
So next time your hear about "common sense saftey laws" just say no!

Ahh... There's something about a 5" N frame that warms the heart. I just wish I could find a reasonably priced holster for my 5" M27.

Saw your plug over at GB, so I figured I'd come on over and let you know I'll be hanging around a little.:2guns:

Welcome everyone. I figure there can't be too many forums to peruse. Haven't seen your post 7MM, but don't worry about it. That's the risk you run when making obscure jokes. They can always be misinterpreted.

Hmmm... Last time I checked those were not revolvers.

Can i qualify my Nagant M1895 "Gas Seal" Revolver. Ammo has not arrived for it yet, so have no experience to share. Has anyone any experience with these?
Hey Sax -
The first holster I found for the 629 is a leather bianchi for about $71.00. I reall dig the accumold for my .357 but no luck here.

O'Reilly- Those Nagants are interesting. I sort of like the odd looks (maybe because I am a little odd myself?). But I have no personal experience with them. Maybe someone else...?
DJSKIT- The holster for the 5" M29 is moded for the full-lug barrel. Won't work for my older gun. Still looking... and looking... and looking...

HOLA: The best combination I have ever found was the S&W in a 4" barrel in either .357 for intermediate useage or the .44 spec for very serious work. It made a very fast package and was quite accurate out to 4-500 meters using the Keith range finding front sight. Loved it.
I am not talking about factory policies, just the quality, which to me is theultimate criterion for defensive use. I have never had one fail me.
Smooch to S&W for producing them.

my s&w model 21 m&p in 44spl. 1,200 made in 1957 still shoots like a champ. favorite load for this one is silver tips. I have others , but this one has proved its worth in the past.

Never heard of the M21. Sounds like the .44 Hand Ejector 2nd Model. Pretty cool.

The model 21 was the 44 hand ejector 4th model of 1950 military. And continued as the model 21 in 1957. only 1200 of them were manufactured as the model 21 m&p, although I believe more model 21's were manufactured as target models with adjustable sights.

Well its my only revolver as of yet, (hope not the last) S&W 686 with a 6" barrell, I bought it back in the early 90's. I love shooting this thing, I have sold quite a few guns, some needed selling but this one will stay!!:D
