Only minus is the steel case I guess. But its real cheap.

Humungus,
I was a little concerned about steel cases in an M1. I'm not worried about them in my mini-30 but its made of modern steel. Is the steel used in M1s up to the extra wear that might be caused with that ammo. My Garand is too precious to me to risk.

Any one have any comments. I found some Hungarian ammo that was $7.00 a box that I have to try with brass cases.

Your best deal is from the CMP. They have 400 round cans of USGI surplus for $88.00 plus $17.00 shipping per can.

If you don't qualify for CMP purchases, Try www.coledistributing.com (http://www.coledistributing.com) for new foreign M2 ball mil. spec. for $5.80 a box plus shipping. Sorry I can't tell you who makes it because they changed since the last time I purchased from them. If you call they can tell you.

A lot happens in a year. Danish inbetween.

Currently....
Everyone's been talking about the latest ammo source. Dans ammo at
http://www.dansammo.com now has new Greek 30-06 that appears to be the same
as what cmp has. Price is hovering around 100-125 shipped per 400 rounds.

Someone on the csp forums has posted a range report that said it's good stuff and
helps with the nearly exhaused supply of Danish M2. There has been mixed reviews
of the Korean.

New or surplus is now the question!. Reloading of the Korean is another issue.
