For those interested, pick up the May/June issue of Petersen's RifleShooter. Inside they have a full article on accurizing the mini-14. They discuss the Clark's barrel stabilizer, trigger job, and stocks. And how the stabilizer is easy enough for someone with 10 left thumbs to install - lol. Price wise, for the whole job including the stabilizer, stock, and trigger job = about $400. I'm sure one could do it bit by bit, so as to be a little lighter on the wallet...and the little woman's temper - lol. Go pick up a copy, it's good reading.

Hey slowryde, I read the article also, but decided I would get by with cheep improvements till I wear my barrel out, then I might spring for a bull barrel, and beefed up gas block instead. I've spent, about $75 bucks on my mini, and have gone from 4 1/2" groups to 1 1/2" groups average. Now working on reloads to tighten things up more, and shoot cheep.
