I've got a Ruger 77 in .257 Improved that I've messed with for about 3 yrs. Best load I've come up with so far is 51gr. RL19 behind a 115gr Ballistic Silvertip in Remington case with CCI 200 primer. It chronographs 3150 fps avg on a 90 degree day with no pressure signs and is reasonably accurate. Terminal effect on whitetail is immediate with proper shot placement. Does anyone have any other experience with this round? I appreciate any tips or info.
