View Full Version : Wanted: .32-40 brass
A collegue at work picked up an old Model 1894 Winchester chambered in .32-40. He'd like to find a source for brass for reloading, as loaded ammo runs about $40 a box.
If you know a source, turn me onto it. thanks.:)

Thanks for the tip, I'll pass it along!
Hi: I have new Winchester .32-40 brass list on my
web site: www.customreloads.com (http://www.customreloads.com)
32-40 brass is available on some of the online sites, however bullets with the crimping caulare in the correct spot are a custom deal. Most shooters who are not into purity use 30-30 brass and commonly available .32 cal bullets from hornaday or speer.the 30-30 case is shorter than the 32-40 case but with 32 special bullets oal. ends up allowing you to crimp the bullet at the canulare and gives near perfect functional length.
That sounds like a great expedient. Thanks, I'll pass the info along to my buddy.
