Whats the average price for a mini-14 in good condition?

Well, here is what I find in my copy of "The Gun Digest Book of Modern Gun Values; 10th edition (1996):

Mini-14: Perf.: $400 Exc.: $370 VGood: $330
Ranch: ": $420 ": $390 ": $340
Stainless: ": $430 ": $400 ": $355

Of course, this book says all the above are "no longer in production", and the Mini-14/5 (factory folder variant) IS still in production, and this in 1996, so I don't know how seriously the above should be taken.

Personally, I paid $500 for a Pre-Ban (183-prefix) blued Mini w/flash supressor, bayonet lug and M-14 style front sight; seven (non-factory, crappy) 30-round mags, tactical vest, and ammo can ful of approx. 2400 rounds .223. But then again, I bought it from my uncle so a similar deal might be more costly from a total stranger.
