bull barrels on mini-14?

Has anyone had anyexperience with turning mini-14s into tack driving varmint rifles of sorts? I would be interested in any and all inputs.

I've seen a couple of articles on doing this.

Jim Clark turns out a very nice one, it was written about in Shooting Times about a year or so ago.

He has a web site that shows his work and talks about prices and such.

There's another gunsmith in OK, an ex-marine American Indian who also turns out work that has an excellent reputation - he goes under the name of Chjief AJ
