View Full Version : Armscorp receivers?
What's the general opinion of these? Any common problems?

gardner396@aol.com is an authority on M14/M1A's and AR15's. He uses Armscorp and Springfield receivers and says that although Armscoprp sometimes requires a little more work by the gunsmith, they are excellent receivers and he builds top quality match/sniper rifles with them. Mine he built is an Armscorp and it is magnificent!

I've owned a few M1As. I agree with bombstopr1, the Armscorp receiver may present a problem to the smith, lapping the lugs etc. but once built they shouldn't be a constant source of grief. I've owned 2 armscorp actioned M1As and 3 SAs including a rear lugged McMillan stocked SA, and the most functional and accurate M1A I have ever owned was built on an Armscorp non-lugged action, bishop stock. Many others have had more experience than myself, so I would listen to them as well.
