M1A price check?

Good morning, and welcome to my first post on this BB.

I know a friend that will be selling 2 M1A's, each as follows:
Heavy Douglas bbl
Enterprise Receiver
N.M. sights
N.M. spring guide
N.M. trigger
Fiberglass stock
Wood stock
2 Mags
Web sling
He calls them "minute guns" and is a competitive shooter. They are not pretty, they are shooters. I just need to know if they are worth $1000 each?

As long as the barrels are not pitted or shot out, and the tolerances are not loose, that $1000 tag is a damn good deal for the features you described. He could easily get $1500 or more if they are in average condition. Buy the best ONE of what he has, practice with it, learn it, then get yourself a Super Match later with a good Leupold scope. Good luck!

$1000 is a great price. The barrel is like a $400 option.

Thanks for the replies guys! I was lucky enough to buy both rifles some few days ago. Boy, am I happy! Nice bbls! Ugly stocks! Unfinished straight grain walnut stock blanks (well, they're roughed out and inletted). Taper reamed flash hider. Good triggers (one is better, but both are good). I will be using these rifles for DCM competition and plinking!
