Hey Guys, I just purchased my fist AR15 Rifle. It's nice owning one instead of just using them for work. I am an AK owner first and foremost. I am a HUGE believer that DI guns are inferior to Piston Guns. Both Have thier ups and downs, so I figured, I'll have them both!!! My AR will be used for open areas where more accuracy is needed and I won't be shooting through trees and bush. My AK will be used in the Bush where less accuracy is needed and where I need a round that can penetrate bush and reach its target without being knocked off course. I'm not trying to start an argument so please don't.........Anybody who has ANY bush skills will know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. Especially where life and limb is concerned. Tell me what Y'all think about my DI gun!! It's a CMMG upper and lower, POS rear pop up sight , UTG Quad Rail Handguard, UTG Buttstock, ATI Pistol Grip.
My AK is a Romanian SAR1 with OD Tapco Furniture, and let me tell you, it has been put through HELL.....Tapco did a good job.

Nice stick. I have a CMMG upper on one of my ARs, been very happy with it. I put an Aimpoint on mine, and a Magpul MBUS rear sight on it. How many rounds have you put through it?

It has around 2100 rounds through it. Its a good rifle if you keep it clean...I thought about putting a piston system in it but the good ones are expensive, and I'm not skimping when it comes to life and limb......

back to the TOPIC... thats not a bad AR you got there buddy, not a big fan of the AK, but can't say you did a bad job with it. both looks great! Yea and "coming to the dark side" everybody is getting AR's these days.

Win_94... I'm not sure if you read much of my original post. I didn't pick on AR's like I could have, I didn't redicule anyone for owning one. It says right in the post that I wanted to own both. So why would I want an argument. Seems to me like your the only one here that has a problem....dustinc10181.. Thanks man I enjoyed that rifle while I had it. I got rid of it because of malfunctions. I'm happy with my AK and it has NEVER had a malfunction. Besides I never need my AR down here in South Louisiana. The muck and humidity I guess messes wi the gas tube. I thought about looking at an H&K 416.

There are piston AR's on the market too. I prefer the AR to the AK, but not trying to argue because I think both have their place. Had I bought an AK before an AR, I might be saying the opposite. I personally think the AK gets a bad rap. Like anything there are good and bad AK, and good and bad AR's.

yea must agree I prefer the AR over the AK, buut always tell myself if I would of gotten the AK first. but either way, im still actually looking for a deal on one. if the price is right, i might pick one up.
