I've seen enough 9mm jhp tests on YouTube, and their depressing results, that I am considering, "going full ball", but with a slight twist. I have been looking at Winchester 147 grain truncated cone TMJ's. That bullet design cannot be characterized as any kind of hollow point. And like semiwadcutters, the truncated design should work a little better, than a standard round nose bullet. They are 'standard pressure rounds'. I can buy 50 of them, cheaper than 20/25 of any hollow point.

Sure, they fly at 990 fps, but being 'heavy' for the caliber, I'll take the penetration. After visiting the 'fed pen' in Oakdale, (where that former governor should have stayed), and seeing the crowd in 'da weight room', the NFL players are lightweights!
