I don't really think the SKS has trouble selling as it is, but no, not really. Tech-sights and similar ghost ring sight kits are available for almost any popular rifle, so it is really nothing special.
I love the SKS and would not trade mine for the world, but I admit that it fills a relatively small market niche when compared to AR/AK/traditional rifle products. It makes a great all-purpose iron sights carbine that works for hunting, defense, or plinking in all weather and degrees of abuse... But it is not ever going to dominate the market, no matter what accessory people make for it.
For most people, the SKS is just an outdated alternative to a Saiga rifle. I'm fine with that. Keeps prices down.
