First gun I ever shot was my dad's .357 pistol - lordy, that was a gun! I was about 14 years old, and it nearly threw me on my rear! lol But I ended up doing pretty well with it, and could impress most guys with my accurracy and lack of discomfort when shooting their .22's when I got to college. (Most were impressed when I told them what I grew up shooting!)

My first gun to own was a Remington .243 rifle. Always used hubby's rifle when hunting, but he finally bought me one of my own 2 years ago. Have also invested in a couple of handguns since, too.
