Most of the "custom" 1911's nowadays are 6" barrels and slides.

But a couple of decades back, AMT made a bunch of 7" models, the Hardballer longslide in .45 and the Javelina in 10mm.

While the quality was variable, they can be made to be fun and reliable guns for well under half the Nighthawk products cost.
