Thanks for the reply. I have put this purchase on the back burner for awhile but I still want a longslide 1911. I just started shooting 10mm (glock 20) and I came across Nighthawk Customs. They make a longslide 10mm 1911. Its about 3K but this might have to be my one outrageous gun purchase. It is not that outrageous considering I have at least 3K$ into my M1A setup (Leupold scope among many other mods)
