I'm looking for a faux gas tube for a 10/22 mock-SOCOM m1a build. I was thinking an Accu-strut SOCOM would be the ticket. I noticed in your FAQ that it mentions your product is not compatible with the 10/22. Am I wrong in assuming it wouldn't take much work to fit to my 10/22? The difference in diameter between my 581 tactical 14 and my 10/22 is only a few hundreths. Would a tapered barrel affect the clamping that much?
