We had a local news anchor here who was earning more than $250,000/yr for reciting her script for 1/2 hr at noon 5 days a week (and more for her evening broadcast). Overpaid ... depends on your view, she didn't think so and sued after she was reduced to one show/day (midday) for poor ratings. So, 3rd rate anchor, $250,000 for 30 min/day, fair pay.

Do you always form your final opinions in a few seconds?
As far as fair pay goes, what's fair is what ever the deal is you work out before you take the job. It's not for me to judge unless they work for me. I'm guessing it takes more then 30 minutes a day to produce a news show.
