BlkHawk: They were used as defensive adn offensive guns by all kindsa folks for lots a years. (insert drawl ). These made it into plenty of sadle scabards, gun racks, kitchen corners and other places long before the black rifles of today had their say in the world. Kinda like an anti-black-rifle thing. I love my levers and use them for all kinds of chores. I don't think anyone is going to hang a sure fire 900 light off one on an improvised light rail or put a laser on one. But it would be nice to have a forward short eye relief scope and maybe some kinda small light for those things that go bump in the night here in the sticks.
